The report further shows that upskilling will be core to the talent strategy, and internal dynamics, data-based hiring decisions such as trends and improvements in the employee experience will be taken into consideration for employers in 2021. According to the report, 95 percent of companies in India have dedicated L&D (learning and development) programs to help employees learn new skills and prepare them for the future. Where skills move into the center, many companies in India today are also leaning on data analytics to tap into relevant talent pools while hiring.

The report showed that 91 percent of companies in India use data to make informed talent-based decisions, while 53 percent often use data to meet hidden needs. He said that to make remote hiring more efficient, nine out of 10 companies are still merging roles to reduce talent acquisition costs.
